Description
Bill (bmac62) and I have been having a lot of fun discussing light and glass. He's posted a couple of wonderful images of stained glass windows, which inspired me to dig through my files and find some stained glass shots of my own.
I would have included this in my "Light and Glass" series, but that would be cheating. I blacked out the background because the original was quite cluttered, and besides ... the danged light wasn't even ON when I took the picture! So while this IS about light and glass, it's not really in the spirit of the rest of my series, which is all about REAL light. :)
edit note: No, no, I suppose it DOES belong there. :P

Done a grand job on this tara, you know of course that I just love that black background :)..It's a beautiful lamp BTW.

Wonderful presentation of a gorgeous lamp. The "eyes" remind me of peacock feathers. The black background was the way to go. So, glass but no light. You are being a purest but after all it is YOUR category :-) Bill

This has to have been inspired by Peacock feathers, and who ever designed it did a fantastic job imho. Excellent capture and presentation Tara, I did quite a series of stained glass widows early last year. I think its time I went and visited a few more churches in my area to do some more. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!

I love these Tiffany-style lamps; I once got to see a LOT of original Tiffany glass in someone's home (the fireplace screen was to die for!) and regular lamps are just boring to me now. Blacking out the background really sets this beauty off well--nice job!
