My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Wonderful presentation of a gorgeous lamp. The "eyes" remind me of peacock feathers. The black background was the way to go. So, glass but no light. You are being a purest but after all it is YOUR category :-) Bill

The black background just enhances the beauty of the lamp! This is a Tiffany styled lamp isn't it.

oh what a wonderful photo. You've surrounded this lamp in the perfect darkness, and the lighting is just right for its design and shape. Beautiful work. Really scintillating!

Great that you and Bill are having fun! Fantastic image Tara and I agree with Bill - it does remind me of peacock feathers!!! :)

This has to have been inspired by Peacock feathers, and who ever designed it did a fantastic job imho. Excellent capture and presentation Tara, I did quite a series of stained glass widows early last year. I think its time I went and visited a few more churches in my area to do some more. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!

I love these Tiffany-style lamps; I once got to see a LOT of original Tiffany glass in someone's home (the fireplace screen was to die for!) and regular lamps are just boring to me now. Blacking out the background really sets this beauty off well--nice job!
awjay
great presentation against the black
