A Dutch good friend introduced me to R'osity... and now, I really feel good in this community : I enjoy a lot your friendship and comments !BIOWith a few exceptions (indicated), I'm using a simple CANON Digital IXUS i... Sometimes, I do some postwork using ArcSoft PhotoStudio 5, but I just installed Adobe PhotoShop 7.0...
But now, after having seen all these beautiful shots, I just bought (Nov 2004) myself a new camera : NIKON 70 D !
I'm a chemist, leading a small R&D team in polymers (My greatest pleasure is to stimulate creativity...) I'm also studying to become a patent attorney...
I'm living in Belgium and enjoy travelling, hiking (going out every week-end is a vital must !), reading (my French preferred authors are Marc Ly, Jean-Christophe Grang Amie Nothomb,...), music (great fan of US female voices : Jennifer Warnes, Natalie Merchant, Sarah McLachlan, ...) and ... photography ! :~)
Bien cordialement aussi aux amis francophones !

Interesting photo of this nice bird of prey! ... if you take photos at an angle by the disc, has you no "loss" of sharpness!

I would love to catch one on a fence post like that! Lucky you!!!

I would guess hawk too. I haven't ever gotten a shot of one of these, although there were lots of them where I used to live in California. Here we have eagles (no shots of those yet either) and hawks (nope) and lots of other stuff...all I seem to do OK with is ducks. Good luck with your resolution, you're off to a great start!

How exciting!

Yeah, they're SO hard to photograph... their excellent eyes will see you long before you see them. And they know their area so well they immediately will be alarmed if only a stone is on another place than before g... You will need much luck (or a young one who's not that shy yet)! ;)

Nice shot. I think a HAwk too. But I am no expert at all. I have seen a Kestrel the last few times at the wetlands. Of course I didnt have the Cam... Well done. Congrats!

Bravo on getting the shot, even if it is not clear! Always special to see and be able to capture one of these in the wild!
