Description

Madeiran Chaffinch (Fringilla coelebs maderensis) As Chaffinches are not shy at all, it was easy for me to take the picture of this male during one of our walks in Madeira (May 2008). The chaffinch is a popular pet bird in many countries. In Belgium, the ancient traditional sport of vinkenzetting pits male chaffinches against one another in a contest for the most bird calls in an hour... Photo très réussie, sauf en ce qui concerne le cadrage: Il y aurait une meilleure harmonie en placent l'oiseau plus à gauche dans le cadre (ou en rognent sur la partie gauche)
