Description

This one is for my dear friend Peggy, whose magical, mythical portraits of strong women have inspired me since I first joined Renderosity. Although Peggy says she sometimes struggles to be a warrior she has always shown me a resilience of spirit that is fundamental to being a true warrior. One need not always be hard to be a warrior, at times suppleness, resilience and even charm are what is required. It is in these roles that female fighters often excel. I have no doubt in my heart that Peggy is a warrior in the fullest sense of the word. Blessed be my dear friend. This is my new version of the Goddess Ishtar in her full blown warrior incarnation. Silver's Tamora is well suited to being a warrior as she wonderfully shows her dark emotions. I modified her morphs a bit to give her a more middle Eastern appearance. My Wiccan friends will recognize the title of this piece from one of our favourite rites, but what else could I call this work? Charge of the Goddess Cross scorched ground thick with smoke One might think her spirit broke When she has all but lost her mark When all things seem completely dark But looking up she will see the stars And swing the sword that belongs to Mars Her warrior's spirit will then ignite And guide her forward to the light Charging on she will show no fear For she fights for what is dear Roxy 2009 Non RMP credits Lisa's Botanicals Creepy Trees 2 and Dead Bushes at DAZ Harvey Mann's Screen Legend Hair at DAZ Silver's Tamora at RDNA Previously in Spirituality series

As far as I'm concerned there is no need for an apology. Your image shows the Goddes as warrior as I always imagined her. Out of the fog and into the light! Blessed be.

Far too often is the Goddess religated to the 'mother' realm and not that of the true persona that she is entitled to. This is a beautifully concieved and created image that shows just how powerful a TRUE Goddess can be. Not all are benign and gentle fawns, but lionesses protecting their pride and defending what is theirs by right. Well rendered and beautifully done!

Absolutely amazing piece of work! This shows a powerful warrior rushing into battle, through the ground fog. You have given her a very commanding prenece and I can see where other warriors would be hard pressed to ignore her call to arms. She has an almost taunting smirk to her, as if she is challenging someone to come at her. If I ran into this warrior on the battlefield I would give her a wide birth if she were not on my side, and if she were on my side, I would stick to her like glue. That wild look in her eyes show me that she plans on living long after the battle is over. Generally it is the people that run into battle without fear that bother me, but there is something about her that tells me that she will not only be standing at the end, but those lucky warriors around her will be at the victory celabration too. This is a powerful piece that I feel honored to have seen. Keep up the amazing work, and as I have told you before..."YOU ROCK!!"

Strong, beautiful and alluring image ... well done Roxy. BTW, when I first read the title, I thought of a goddess blasting into a department store sale waving her credit card. LOL Super work!!!
