Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Where on earth were you standing when you took this ??? Earth shattering capture of an equally earth shattering aircraft. Very well done Bill.

A beautiful piece of machinery....I often think about how man must have felt when the first plane ever actually flew!
nikolais

It ain't that big... it will fit on a football field!!! Awesome shot, Bill!

Great shot! I suspect it's a "C" model though. The "E" is a 2-seater.

One Big Mother! And fast, too! Difficult but stellar capture of the fighter profile as it roars past, Bill! But 2025? I was under the impression that the F-22 Raptor would eventually replace it.

Well caught on her side like that, I can see a lot more of her sleek lines and size.

A fantastic fly-by of a classic McDonnell-Douglas twin engined bird! I see these all the time at Lambert Airport in Saint Louis.

A really cool shot indeed!!! Straight to the Fave box, my friend... There are a squadron or two of these based in the UK. Suffolk I think. They do heritage flights at Duxford sometimes. Trouble with my shots (at Duxford anyway), is the crowd angles the other way to your picture so the plane is banking away from the crowd. That and our nanny state Government doesn't allow them within 27 miles of a person even if he's paid to be at the airshow. AND KNOWS THE THING MIGHT CRASH! (notice slight annoyance!), Take care, mate. Brilliant shot! Rob.

Stunning. The closest I have gotten to these types of aircraft is at airshows, but my heart rate soars with every pass they make. The power is unbelievable. Thrilling stuff, and your capture of this fine aircraft is wonderful.
