Description

Mornin all.. Last night I decided I was going to take a few shots down in town and wandered over to the pier for a few minutes of messing about on the rocks. I actually dropped my camera and nearly shat myself as it bounced towards the ocean, fortunately stopping almost dead so I could grab it after regaining my balance from the icy shore.. tiny crack in a bit of the casing and a nice battle scratch but it all still works perfectly so I can breathe a big sigh of relief!... already lost 2 tripods to the sea last year.. Anyway the shot is of St Andrews Castle, of which I haven't posted a night image from afar as yet. Again I'd wanted to open the shutter for a number of minutes and incorporate some star trails too, but I guess I'm going to have to wait until I can afford to change all the little accessories and add-ons (grr!) such as a shutter remote to allow bulb exposures... Hope you have a good day! Adam

Excellent night scene Adam, I am sure you know the old trick of using sunglasses over the lens as a heavy ND filter for longer exposures...Bit cheapo, but it does sort of work :)
