Description

This was taken at 1300 hrs today. Last night the temperature dropped to -4 deg C despite us being 100 miles (160kms) south of the English mainland. I have always lived here and never before have I seen a beach covered in frost. It was an awesome sight despite much of it having melted. Thank you for your views and comments Susan

You're perhaps pretty young! i was living in Jersey in the bleak winter of 1963 and this was a familiar sight! It was bitterly cold and Jersey people were not used to those conditions..burst pipes frozen roads that were lethal. Also Christmas 1964 we were unable to reach Jersey Zoo due to snow drifts..... Nice to be reminded. Thank you for sharing

I first thought it was snow. Unique shot, at least to me, coming from a warmer climate!
