Description
A late afternoon shot in September, at the local nursery.
(It's Wight's in Lynnwood, Washington. Thought I'd mention it specifically, since I've gotten lazy and have just been calling it "the nursery" when I post pics from there.)
Nurseries are such great places to hang out, and they don't seem to mind people taking pictures. :) I figure ... if you want to take photographs of really healthy, well-cared-for plants and beautiful garden art, you should go to a good nursery.
I posted this image (cropped tighter, since it was all about symmetry) in the January Photography Challenge. We're having loads of fun back there. Come see what's going on when you're not looking! :)

Sometimes we post pictures that are on target and excellent, and sometimes we talk about David Bowie. Or 6'4" pom poms. You know ... the usual! :)

Another excellent idea...do a mini shoot at your local nursery. Yours is a perfect example. Problem here is all I'll get until spring are empty tables unless I can get invited into the greenhouses...where customers don't usually go when the nursery is closed for the winter. Love the garden sculptures in your photo. Bill

A really beautiful picture again, and I didn't like to take pics at my local nursery before. I took my camera once but really just dare not use it, so I will give it a go in the spring when I go back there again. hugs Jane xx

Not only do I have a great nursery right here in town, the man who runs in and I are great friends, he won't be surprised when I show up with my camera!! This is beautiful, the light is wonderful, of course!!

Beautifully composed Tara. We used to go to the 'Lynwood Tavern' (country western) across from the MacDonalds. The MacDonalds sign read 'Over 1 Million sold'. It tells you how ago it was.

simple & vivid. Restful greens, and a big bright Oriental sculpture (a feeder? I don't know what those things are, sorry!). It's just really nice, direct & restful. A very nice shot.
