Description

nowadays everything is looked into. some havard guy has found out that looking up 2 things in google emits just as much co2 as when i cook water for my coffee! i started a list of things i should not do for environmental or other reasons and i came to the conclusion that my existence is a heavy burden on mother earth, that i did and do everything wrong and that i even cannot die without causing stench, polution and co2 emission and probably not yet defined other trouble. being ill is my own fault, being old is a burden and no matter what i do something or someone is suffering! I AM SICK OF ALL THOSE ACCUSATIONS, I AM SICK OF ALL THE POLLS AND 'SCIENTIFIC' DIGGING AND I AM SICK OF ALL THOSE IDIOTS WHO TELL ME I AM A CRIMINAL! yes, i am shouting and i designed a sick bag just to try to keep sane, but i apologise in advance as a lot of people will be offended for sure. (did not yet decide if i should stop drinking coffee or googling.)

I enjoy a side splitting laugh every so often and this is one of those. It is also an example of misunderstanding, not getting the point in the race to prohibit, and inform through fear, without changing understanding and values, and often providing no alternative. I am very torn about this issue at times, I feel very strongly about doing what we can to preserve & protect nature, the destruction of which impacts our lives considerably now and in the future. My own abilities to do everything necessary are insufficient. There are conflicts even in nature. Balance and wise choices are necessary. However, I also am so aware that the game of research is one of get the money and keep me working. If the researchers need a project, they will find one. As a recipient of the news, it is getting to be too much. I almost don't know what to eat, what to use, what to protect anymore because the list grows rapidly, is so long, and even contradictory. I can only do the best I can and use common sense. More than science, research, etc., our attitude toward all of creation must be based on values. If one can't see everything is interrelated, what effects one, effects another, and if we don't respect creation, we are the big losers. The end, picking up my box and moving on...

i grew up in the flower power age and there were no computers. lots of people around in my home village even dont had a TV! it was up to one self to buy a newspaper or to talk to the people to get 'information'. i miss these times very much, they were silent compared to today's flood of news. i like your thoughts very much koosie, well shouted :D

But you forgot the shocking news that a researcher has declared that mouthwash causes cancer. It's all an attempt to keep us living in fear of the world around us.

I really can´t understand the whining, all it takes to change ones way is a little responsibility and sanity and some will. The north is living on the expense of the majority of the worlds population and nature in general what´s so difficult to understand about that? I´ve no car, no TV, eat not much meat, use sustainable energy, vote socialist and feel more free than before, cause I´m living more along the way of nature and reason. You fear losing things you don´t really need. And if I´d the choice between letting People in the third world, or my government and the greedy companies suffer, I´d know what to chose. It´s time to stop exploitation. We´re living under our possibilities, just to let some people get rich and powerful.

great & fun piece! I understand your feelings, I know you're not asking that we all destroy the world, just that we be allowed to breathe without being told that every step we take is putting us on the precipice of Armageddon. It's a perfect image for your sentiment, I like the font you chose, love the texture of the bag and the clean white background with simple shadow. Done with finesse! Even activists need to step back and smell the flowers & manure once in awhile. Fun & pointed work, and a fav.

Please do not apologize for doing so. This is really one hell of a fantastic job you did. One way or another, art has spoken for itself. Awesome job and emphasis. ^_^

Only with the years the person starts to understand, … if all all over again, would alter all anew. It is not important, the most important, having left the trace to not give to make mistakes another. Experience comes in the course of time, both not to all has learned and not all has understood, but some acts already never I shall repeat!!! on your side!

LOL. Very funny and so true! I'm an environmentalist, animal rights activist, news junkie, etc. and I LOVE this! There are days when I need to shut off the news and barricade myself away from all humans because all their good intentions (and not so good intentions) and rules and fears drive me crazy. Thanks for the laugh today. Great graphic, too. Effective and controversial writing on a paper bag. If we can't laugh and breathe deeply and express ourselves freely in art, then what's the point in being here at all? Thanks for this. Now I'm off to Google and make some coffee. : )

Ah yes, and sacharin cause cancer in laboratory rats in Canada, so the answer, don't let people touch the stuff - The problem there - the amoun ingested by the rats equalled too many cases of soda a day for people, but they still banned the stuff! where's the logic in that one minute drinking coffee is bad for you the next day it's good for you and the thrid day, eh! Same with everything else in this world, if you over-indulge, you will pay the price one way or the other. I agree, all those people who decide to tell us that we should stop doing something because it will harm us, should be stopped and put away. Thought for the day: Life is a sexually transmitted disease, 100% fatal, no cure!
