My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

The one time I tried to use this kind of machine, it got away from me. No, I didn't take out the neighbor's daisies, but I sure tore up my own!! Great shot, love the light. (It was 70 here today)

I don't think ever ganna be used again but you find another purpose of it. Great photo subject. Like a burned tall grass around it. I feel "guilty" we have 102F here.

Great image! Unfortuantely, sometime during the early spring I will be using something similar to this so as to prepare an area for a veggie garden.

Love how the long grasses are growing around it. I see things like this often but I don't have the knack to make them look this good, brilliant capture Tara!

You'd made it look most attractive! Or maybe I'm just that sort of woman! The colours all look marvellous together, I'm glad you showed us the lot.

I agree with Andrea - the colors make this a marvelous shot!!! It doesn't look like this tiller is used very often!!! Nice one Tara!:)

Your weather is better than ours in Germany! It is snowing in Frankenthal as I type this. fantastic capture of this old relic!

The wear on the paint job makes it look like this thing has given long, hard service. It probably does still run just fine...I'm caught by the overall brightness and color in this shot -- an excellent capture!

I love seeing pictures of old implements like this, or old houses that are falling down, and to imagine the joy of the family that bought this new and how proud they were of it. Equally as impressive to me as the tiller is the beautiful grass surrounding it.

Cool looking... but looks like too much work for that old tiller to take on

I like the bright colors of the dry grass and this old tiller reminds me of my dad. Nicely captured Tara. You have sun:((

Interesting find, a virtual rival to my classic antique autos. As for the terrain, anyone got a scythe?
jocko500
cool shot of this thing

I don't think you had to do very much with this: Your light captured wonderful bleached reds & beiges & yellows, a nicely aged piece of machinery...but what's equally beautiful is the background: It's a fountain of late fall grasses, whose hues harmonize with the machine's yellows, and make a wonderful sinewy curtain. I think this is very lush, and I love it and am faving it.

Hmmmm....I'm longing for the summer smell. This just calls that feeling in me. Gorgeous capture
