My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Outstanding work! I may have to give DP a try some day

Very nicely done. Like the highlights and shadows. This for sure isn't something I've tried yet. Of course if I tried this technique, I'd probably have to take a photo of a tank and paint it with a new camo paint job or something similar :) Bill

This is fantastic sweetie, I bet it took a while too, great work, DP brings to mind a grand master in the nobel art by the name of Bert Monroy, have you heard of Bert?

Marvellous! I love this, Tara: Just imagine how tedious it would be to repaint and actual canvas. It is beautiful!!! I haven't even made a start on Corelpainter yet, but I will! Just so much going on with the house, and I need to get my physical fitness back after the winter too.

the photograph is beautiful, tara, but the painting is even moreso. A flower transformed into a vision! I loved the last painting, and love this. I simply can't get these feelings in software, but you painted a long time and it must rush through your blood. The rushes of white and the beautiful dark violets (some in lines, like energy) are gorgeous. And you've highlighted the stamens like bursts, and your green background is lush and peaceful at the same time. (it's to die for.) You could paint here forever & I wouldn't tire of it...a beautiful piece. (And for whatever it's worth, I never care if a painting has similar colors to another: They're still separate visions, and this one is just beautiful!)
