My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

This is a gorgeus study sweetie, and you already know I love that lighting.

agree with all the comments. The lighting & placement are classical. It's a beautiful capture. And the base is so perfect for its time: That blend of abstract form & nature all mixed into a swirling whole. You caught just the right angle, and your lighting brings out the brass 'green' on the edges, a fine effect. Very sensitive work all around.

The Art Nouveau genre gave us some of the loveliest stylized artforms, and this is a beautiful example: the graceful, flowing human figure. Excellent capture!

Excellent capture! :)

There is a touch-ability to brass. It feels warm to the touch and satin smooth when done right. This is so beautiful. One of my favorite art periods as well.

How lovely and unique!!

This is stunning Tara! I love the art nouveau period and since I did stained glass its easy to find new reproductions, nothing like the real thing tho!
goodoleboy
Stellar light and shadow illuminates this fine objet d'art. Only the nouveau riche can afford such a sensuous lamp base.
