Description

Renderosity has the potential to be a Valhala of sorts. Where the mighty fashion divine things for those in midgard to be amazed by. I know everyone wants to make a buck or it...but at a certain point, when we realize as a collective we can do much more. I can feel people out there, holding back. It seems the censorship issue is becoming worse here, this will affect us all. Diluting human expression because it might cause someone to *gasp* be affected? This forces art to hide, when it is in it's barest sense a purgative, sometimes an expectorant, but nonetheless, if that is forced underground, it dials down the lumenosity of the human candle. Maybe we won't work together out of fear that someone will take the idea and sell it and make millions. Maybe we won't make that awesome graphic novel cuz on page 14;panel 4 you can clearly see thru the artists picture this character is female by the bulging aspects of her chest in the side angle. or worse what if she says the word 'crap' later on. That word only means one thing, which is equate with other naughtinessi. Maybe a norman rockwell star wars is just what the world needs, or maybe to fulfill the prophecy, movies will require that they are made with 2 caveats: 1 CG and 2 robots so there are no icky genitals and possible ewwiness, or humanity. If anyone suggests toning it down, they are only doing so because someone, usually a 12 yr old in a 47 yr old body had an issue with something. Being affected by art is not an issue, it's the point. Offended by that? Awesome! Looks like your like...alive n stuff, good on ya mate! Mill it over...

I haven't had trouble with the restrictions...yet, but I do support what you say.

A point well made. If done right, art must jolt us out of our complacency as well as entertain. If people say "tone it down", isn't that why content filters exist, so they don't have to view material they don't want? If they don't want to see nudity or violence or what not, that's fine; just don't assume everyone should feel the same. Give me Christopher Nolan over Norman Rockwell. :)

I like the art here, and in general I agree with your sentiment. I'm wondering if this is the place to raise that though. I'm not complaining or criticizing, mind you, I'm just wondering what's the best way to discuss this?

Unfortunately, there is never a good place or time for such things Hopefully this isn't viewed as an incitement, it's just a passionate expressive, similar to a dangling participle, LOL
