So, my daily web adventures led me yet again to wikipedia, where I spend a lot of time. Thursday's curiosities involved Michaelangelo's 'theLastJudgement', that inspired me to paint fabric. And after the red & linen thing I found a nifty brush in PS7 called pointelism(there is also an art action which is not the same;lost 10 minutes), the brush made in my eye, abstract lovely black n white shapes perfect for smudgeorama. After doing the conan-esque looking demon thing I was thinking about composition. Like the chicken or the egg I became confused as to back to front, or the inverse. I also get excited easily and forget to copy something to a new layer(working on this). Anyway, after about 45 minutes I had neat cave scene going on. Since it was b&w, there were parts that reminded me of the Danté's Inferno engravings. That rich shadow...I have always wanted to get that down, with intent and not always accidentally bumping into a neat trick. Well, I had some so much white one black, black on white, grey everywhere, and maybe I had stared @ the screen too long, but I started seeing a picture. It was like a photgraph. The multitudes of chaos allowing my brain to make sense of it... I usually start an image black @ 300dpi as this allows for a richer smudgerificness So, I started some digital archeology, uncovering the figures. Blew my mind.
