Description

I just lost my whole "Ready to Place" folder with approximately 150 images in it. It is many, many hours of work - just gone. My son tried to retrieve it with his fancy software but to no avail. My heart literally aches... Very silly, I know, but dang!!!!!! I had to revert to older images for tonight's upload. This fuschia was captured in my garden at the beginning of spring around October last year. Hope it brings some warmth in the bitter cold up north! Nonpareil colors in this macro of the lovely and sedate fuschia blooms, Carin. Of course, I echo the others in their response to the loss of your prized photos. I equate the feeling to a knife in the heart. Having more than once undergone a similar event, it is the main reason I keep a backup set of everything I do on another hard drive.

Oh, Carin, that's awful. I have a couple of flash drives that I keep saying I'm going to use for back up and haven't; maybe this will get me going. This foto is exquisite; I've tried several times with fuschias and have never gotten once close to this!!

Wonderful shot. I also had that experiencing losing tons of files from my mobile drive. Now I backup my raw files then backup my edited files and another backup for the modified uploaded files.

Oh no, this is aweful - You must be very frustrated about this!! We just need to organize a photo-weekend somewhere nice, in the mountains with lots and lots of wine.... and we will take pictures to replace the lost ones...? yes??

Oh my word! I'm sorry, Carin, that you lost all your images! Heartbreaking, I know. I hope you can find a professional retrieval service that can get them back for you. In the meantime, your older images are lovely, this is beautiful!
