Description

This is for my friend Larry (NetWorthy) who does wonderful work in Daz. Larry has a gift for creating images and magnificent stories to go with them. My favorite story Larry created is (Misty The Baby Dragon) In it he shows how he can touch your heart through his work. Most important for me is Larry has always been a real friend to my family and always checking on my sister. He shared with me this fantastic memory of when he was a boy living near Springfield Illinois. They lived near old abandoned mines and the rubble from them had built up over the years making huge hills seventy feet high. When it snowed the hills provided Larry and his friends a great place to go sledding, even if the hills were a bit rough because of all the rocks. This story is about one day when they had a fantastic new adventure and I hope you enjoy it. Down Hill Racers: It was a really cold day and Larry and his brother Rick headed to the hills to meet their friends and go sledding. While the kids were playing they found a hood from a old car half buried in the snow. The kids dug it out and thought it would be great to use it as a sled. Larry and nearly 14 kids worked so hard to drag it up the hill. Once at the top all the kids climbed on board and a older boy gave them a shove to get them started. Down the bumpy hill they soared, going faster and faster. Soon Larry saw Mick fall off and then his friend Butch too. Evey time they hit a bump another kid would go flying off of their sled. By the time they got to the bottom only Larry, Mike, Emma, Glory and her puppy were left. They were still going fast as their sled plowed into a group of small trees finally ending their journey. Larry and his friends laughed so hard and they rode down the hill two more times that day. Hope it brought smiles. That is a funny story. I can imagine in my head these kids just flying and popping off, one by one, as they build up momentum on that thing going faster and faster down the hill. Your render definitely brings the story to life. Quite a talent you have, Dave.

what a fun story !!! i absolutly loved it !!! When i was a kid here in southern cal , there was no snow here - so we found that going down the dry grassy hills on cardboard boxes flattened out (and later discovered that morey boogie boards were much faster ) some of our nearby hills were really steep and that long dead grass was almost as slick as ice sometimes we would get 4-5 of us on one board and just FLY-afterwards we would go to our huge oak treehouse in those hills ( always dragging stuff from the trash like old chairs up to it )that oaktree also had a huge rope swing over looking the valley then we would swing for hours -between grass sledding, building up the treehouse and swinging there no playstation needed in those days LOL! now huge custom houses are all built there in those hills!!! oh dear, afraid i just wrote a book!!! i do love your childhood stories sick with a cold today and this cheered me up !!!!

Fantastic story and always wonderfully brought to life. Great memories to us all I am sure, of homemade sleds. We used pieces of old linoleum, boy could that stuff go fast. Lots of laugh and fun. Great work!

What a wonderful render Dave!!!! The faces from this little racers are just wonderful!!! Really lovley and wonderful childrens faces!!! When my children were small I let them slide on a carrier bag in that I did a pillow. So the chance that children can get hurt is smaller and it is the same fun!!!LOL Hugs Ute

Tasty still Dave. You put full the sight of it to us and have would believe hiiiiii above. That good memories you tell in a glance. You have the nobility of a King. Cheer still and mile mercies. To listen to a friend It is to enrich by its ideas and to cover it of a smile. For qthat he has a smile in its heart ((5++)) Savoureux encore Dave .

Awesome story. Nowadays parents worry so much about their kids they won't let them out of their sight. In those days, kids were so much more free to explore the world around them, and even though they got a few bumps and bruises, they had great fun. This is a fantastic image.

Once again Dave, you prove "A picture is worth a thousand words" Again you captured the story perfectly. Great job. Reminds me of days gone by because if I got on a sled today I think I would end up killing myself, either on the way down or have a heart attack climbing back up the hill.

How well you bring these stories to life. This is a super image and you can see that they are having fun down these slopes. Great posing with muliple figures which is always more difficult to achieve. Excellent expressions and outfits too. A wonderful result which is a joy to open. Thank you.
