Description

It's crab season up here, and everyone wants to feast on these yummy crustaceans!! I saw these gulls on the way back from my dune walk of a couple weeks ago. They let me get pretty close before scattering; I thought that was quite considerate of them!!

Looks like the two eaters each have their own body guard. Great capture. The dark sand always strikes me as unusual...but neat...since I'm used to white sands. Bill

Great shot! I've attempted to take some seagull shots but as soon as I get close they fly away! :)

Yum, crab lunch. Beautiful capture & post work. Is this sand black because of volcanic type terrain inland?

Awesome clarity and postwork depicted in this beach scene, beachzz! The sand looks like just paved asphalt that hasn't had time to harden.

the blues & grays here are alive, and the flow of the birds & branches & crabs is very nice, very musical. I like, too, that you have 2 birds standing & 2 pecking, it's like they're in some formation. Very nice seeing, Marilyn. And the white foam in the background is the picture's capper, almost like snow. Very nice shot, small & intimate, but it has a sweep too. (I'll skip the "boys and gulls" joke, and any references to crabs. I do have 'some' taste, though that may not be readily apparent...)
