with Koosie, "an absolute favourite"! (You'll have to wait a day, however, because my favs aren't registering right now & half my comments aren't either—I'm having Rosity problems...but I'll fav this soon!) What a balance between shadow and scintillating light! It's a big revelation! The detailing on the trees makes them like light-lines cutting through the picture, they're so vivid. And the wall has so much interplay in it, right down to the soiled lowest layer. And I love that you caught this in an alcove or some inside patch of grass: The snow, empty of sidewalk or street, is perfect for the shot. This is lush & dark & mysterious, and I think it's beautiful. And it really makes me appreciate how much art there is in a city: This is packed, loaded, even to the buildings in the background...wonderful.

Wonderful light thru the trees Nikolay! I see you too are dealing with the cold and snow. We got another 4" last night, I am really ready for it to be gone! Superb imagery as always, I like the bare trees and the minimal color.Beautiful!

What can I say that hasn't already been said? Perhaps that I love trees in winter, they show us there bones, their beautiful forms. Perhaps that I love how snow lies on branches, outlining in white, accenting the trees beauty. Perhaps that I love winter lighting, magical, mysterious. All this and more captured in this picture.
