Description

In my recent posts, I have shown you little santons and a Nativity made of bigger (and therefore more detailed) ones, and I gave you an explanation about this kind of traditional painted statues. This is another stunning scene which emphazises the unique talent of these Southern France artists, both in sculpture and in tridimensional painting. I will show you one or two other nice santons scenes soon. Best viewed full size. All comments welcome. I dedicate this photo to Aleksander Ledwolorz, an artist with a breathtaking talent in photo-manipulation, and I invite each of you, 2D and 3D artists, to visit his gallery. This is the link to my previous santons images:

Oops! Looks like I missed an ebot. I apologize about the lateness of my comment. I've been receiving my gmail through POP3 and I've noticed lately that not all the mail comes through. Excellent photo Edouard and I'll check out Ledwolorz's gallery.
