Description

Our poor widdle birdies!! The photo isn't that great in quality - but you can't imagine how MANY different species we have here in our yardens every day! So "Air Traffic" yesterday morning at 20* - was anything but smoooth! These poor things one after another, one embarrassingly unsuccessful TRY after another - skidded off into the TREE behind their spa, only adding insult to THIRST! Anyway we NORMALLY only have about a 30 minute WINTER here - THIS predicament was cause for HOURS of really CHEAP entertainment watching these poor guys TRYING to figure out - WTH!?!??!????!!! Hope you get a giggle out of it! I know I sure have been! We're STILL AuFrozen here! I only WISH I'd had my camera bedside this morning when Honey pulled back the glass door curtains & a squirrell was "CAUGHT" INSIDE that icy jail room! They must be pretty strong - because he DIDN'T BREAK any of the frozen bars making his hasty escape when he realized that perhaps licking the ice WASN'T a really GOOD idea after all! Keep WARM!!! Wow - those icicles are something else. Poor cardinal looks quite confused. This is a great shot! I just got the same camera you took this with, so I'm looking forward to getting some bird shots.

Fear not too much for them - We have five feeders stuffffed with gourmet seed year round & three fountains for their amusement - And several water bowls up high & dry from predators. There's also a lake across the road from our home - but they SEEM to prefer our accommodations MORE! In return they give me year round entertainment, company & wonderful music to boot! It's just FUNNY watching ALL of them jussst sooooo confused by this temporary predicament!
