Addendum: 1-18-2009: What GETS ME - is that they HAVE warmer water AVAILABLE here - They just wanted THIS uber-sparkly WATER - darnittt! It's ALL melted by this morning with rain & temps in the 40's -50's range today. Show's are over for now. But they WERE fun to watch & I could SWEAR I HEARD a few screech a "YIKESSSS"!!! when trying to make unsuccessful "landing attempts". ; } !!!

What an amazing sight this is, I have never seen such icicles on a bird bath before. He ought to be issued with ice skates when he visits next time. An excellent capture. hugs Jane xx

You're SO RIGHT Jane!! I think that's WHY they KEPT TRYING again & again! It just did NOT MAKE SENSE to THEM either. We DO keep heated water bowls for them too tho. He just wanted THIS ONE! Darnitall! ; }
