Description
A little older of a pic from last year. Saw this while at a wetlands in Torrance CA. Not sure what it was but it feed a lot of other creatures I am sure. I think it was bout 6" long or so.
Wish I had used a diff f/stop to get it a little sharper and more in focus. Oh well.

With the back curved lower fangs I would say no coyote. The high ridge on the crown has me wondering and the 6 inch length suggests a smaller carnivore. The heavy jaw - upper and lower shows it had powerful muscles in the face. Great shot I think.
