Description

This version of Ninshubar is the wonderful Mona, a new character by RebelMommy and Tiltedhalo. Regardless if she becomes the new Ninshubar I have to say that Mona is a gorgeous character and I have to thank RebelMommy and Tiltedhalo for creating such a beautiful middle eastern girl. I usually do my own morphs even on commercial characters but this is Mona straight from the box..she doesn't need any fixing. It is a bit unusual for me to do glamour style portrait work, but I couldn't resist doing this one of Mona. It is a close up of the Ripples scene but with Mona put in the same spot and pose as the previous V3 Ninshubar. She also has her new Golden Age hair by Harvey Mann. I hope you like her. I want to thank all the people who commented on my last work "Ripples" and for all the great constructive criticism I got from that piece, both in the gallery and in private posts. It was an honour to know that so many people cared about my work and also about how Ninshubar should look like. Let me assure you that every comment was important to me and I thought about what each of you said. Ninshubar is very important to me. I have come to really love this Goddess while doing the Ishtar in the Underworld series. She is an all but forgotten Goddess, lost in the reflection of her domineering cousin Ishtar; but in her time she was highly respected both for her courage and her cunning. She was fundamental to all of the good things that Ishtar did, and skillfully pulled her cousin out of the flames on many occasions. My friend Shadowhawk described these two cousins almost perfectly: Ishtar is a great warrior; more inclined to attack from the front and is an "In your face" type A personality. Whereas Ninshubar is more of a "Let's hide in these caves till they pass and hit them from behind when they aren't looking" type. She is also more inclined to use her feminine abilities to distract her opponent. She would make an excellent spy or assassin. Getting the right look for Ninshubar is far more complicated than for Ishtar. I want the looks of this character to be able to stand up to the new Ishtar, the wonderfully bitchy looking Tamora by Silver. Ninshubar also has to have dark skin and look good as a blonde and that is not so easy. My friend Liz (Zil2008) helped me find a couple of likely V4 candidates - this is one of them. Previously

You ade yourself a wonderful Nishubar Roxy ... She is very pretty and must she be strong?! ... I think you are the only one who can decide what she has to look like finaly ... Because she is in your mind and a goddess from your heart!!

She is really gorgeous, I love her big dark eyes and her rather innocent expression. Her hair looks super with that honey gold skin texture.

Now this, to me, looks like she would be a perfect Ninshubar! She has that sexy yet dangerous quality to her. The one thing that poser and other 3D programs does poorly is the eyes, they just don't have life in them. If you could somehow convey that warrior gaze that she should have, she would be perfect the way she is. Maybe squint her eyes just a bit and crease the brow maybe? This more than fulfills what I said about the pair of them, and I am glad that you liked what I said about this pair enough to repeat it. You have set out to portray a pair of very different, but also very similar women in a way that can make someone who has no idea who they are feel like they have known them forever. That is how I feel about this pair, these ladies where unknowns to me until I took the time to view your gallery at Charley's request, and I am very glad that I did. You have shown me that the very ladies that I cover in latex and bondage gear can be just as sexy wearing a loin cloth and hefting a sword in battle. Even if you choose not to use this character as the base for Ninshubar, this is how I will see her from now on. You have a great skill Roxy, even if you don't see it. You have taken a sweet innocent character, as almost all of RebelMommy's girls are, and turned her into a warrior in my eyes. THAT is a skill to be proud of! You have made her a very sexy and fierce warrior, and have passed on in her that which is the hardest thing to do. From talking to you I see some of your spirit in her, and that makes it all that more easy to believe.

A beautiful character indeed. I like the hair used here by the way, more so than the older version. Having said this, I think I must be one of those people who can't handle change, because I preferred the first version of Ninshubar (minus the hair). This one is absolutely gorgeous but somehow, I find her almost too pretty and young. I'd love to see a picture of both your new Ishtar and Ninshubar in action, though. Beautiful portrait!
