Description

Here we have the Sparrowhawk Class Attack Cruisers Phoenix(red) and Vengeance(Blue/Black), leaving orbit from the Imperial Dominion Homeworld of Relanne. Who knows where their adventures will take these mighty ships as they embark on a mission of exploration and protection. These ships truly are fine representatives of the Imperial Dominion Star Fleet. Well back to basics for me. I have been working on this model for a bit. Due to a hardware crash last spring, I lost the original models for the Sparrows and Sparrowhawks. This is a complete remodel from scratch. I think they came out much better than the previous version. I hope you like it. Oh yeh, I also have posted the starfield and planet background in a separate post. It came out so good I though folks might like it as a wallpaper.

Very nice, indeed. I like these ships, love the background, and the lighting.

Very nicely done. I like your warships very much. I wish I had your talent to do starships. I have a couple of warships that i want to do but I don't know which program is the best for doing ships. I don't have a lot of money to invest in programs on a hit and miss bases. Disabled Vets don't get paid a lot by our government. The next time they have a war I'll stay home.LOL Looking forward to your next rendering.

I know what you mean. I'm disabled as well, and money is tight with just my wife being able to work. I use Carrara for all of my 3D work. It is actually very easy to use, but is very powerful and has a all of the features of software packages which cost ten times as much. All you need is a good imagination and the ability to sort of disassemble the model in your head. Kind of like looking at the instruction sheet for a plastic Model kit in your head. The only thing being that you disassemble it rather than assemble it.
