Description

Here's a new version of my last model. As always, I take everything on board and I increased the size of the balloon (not that you can see it in this render). I also had redid the rigging (since I increased the size of the balloon, but they weren't very accurate on the last version anyway) and added a LOT more detail to the boat itself. Which meant that with the paddles in place, you couldn't see all the detail. So I switched from paddles to propellers. Still a WIP, since I can see obvious errors (the life rafts are floating!). AND before anyone asks, the life rafts have balloons stored in them which inflate when needed. ;-)

Perhaps they're hover-rafts? Using some sort of Jules Vernian-ish anti-gravity? Of course then you wouldn't need the balloons at all... Well, with that idea falling apart, the ship models look really good! All they really need now are a few passengers walking the decks (I'll buy a ticket!) :) ...perhaps the anti-grav only works on small craft... hmmm....

Very nice! The rigging and detail looks great. And I like the propellers a lot better than the paddles - looked at that and wonder how it was going to work.

Great work on the model. Hard to see the details with the lighting but looking forward to your next update.
