Description
The oath of office will be administered to President-elect Obama and Vice President-elect, Joe Biden today on the steps of the Capitol, and here is to hoping that we all join in and support the changes ahead.
Thank you for your visits and comments to my latest upload. Also thanks to those of you that sent prayers and well wishes, I was very touched by that. By the way an update on that is that it was not as serious as we feared, and Michael I was so relieve to hear your news. Big hug. Well I am home today because of snow and ice conditions so I am going to be watching the inauguration with the rest of you and my daughter who is home today as well. She just walked in her a few minutes ago to say she was heading out side and I said for what? And she said to ‘play’ in the snow.. lol well it is just 7:00 a.m. here and dark out still so I wonder how long she last.

oh it's a beautiful shot! and so nice you put it in b&w, with all the contrasts that it brings. It's beautiful, another beautiful Lynell barn...a striating vibrating image, with each board vibrating, and beautifully-caught leaves in front and a big diffuse white sky. Fine use of b&w. If it's Michael who had the scare, my best wishes and relief, and I hope all things are better for him now. You know, maybe Obama is signaling good all over the world...You know, I haven't seen or felt a change like this all my life, except maybe in the late 60s, but this one has so much more inclusiveness and maturity in it. I hope it becomes all that it seems. Have a wonderful warm day at home & with your daughter. This is a wonderful image, and a fav!

On any given day in the Texas hill country, you will find at least one person on every street (usually more) with one, two, maybe even 4 flags waving in the breeze. It's one of those things that makes your chest puff up with pride. Great shot. Love the selective color.
