Description
Working on my next model, starting to feel like I am getting the hang of Wings 3D.
Still trying to figure out UV Mapper and texturing in general.
This particular one is intended to be a SciFi amphibious transport aircraft. I am considering changing the engine placement as the current design would be great at sucking up water as FOD. Or if people like the design as is, will continue working on the texture maps. Probably not the best aerodynamic design, but hey that why there is SciFi. :P
Just a quick and nasty render in Vue 6 Pro Studio to test the overall concept.
If I can get it sorted out in the next couple of weeks, will put the model up in Free Stuff if people are interested.
Thanks to everyone who commented on my last few images.

Not bad concept at all! I wasn't thinking about the engines so much as the front, unless the underside would make the nose rise sharply once it starts moving, they'll likely have a fair amount of water going up over the nose. Of course, if it's designed to submerge, that's not a bad thing, though. I like the overall design, looks pretty cool.

The detail in modeling you are doing is accelerating at quite a rapid pace, this is very, very nice! Keep on with the texturing- its important, it can also make low polygon models look damn detailed! So dont give up on the UV Texture mapping! ;)
