Description

The other night I had dinner with four of my nieces and nephews and their respective spouses, along with Trent and David. We had the best time! One of the truly nice things about hanging out with family is that we all know each other so well. The kids are all quite tolerant of me taking pictures of everything in sight, and they're even willing to help. Blake had a feature on his phone that provides different color lights, and he turned it on for me so I could experiment with different lighting setups. This was the first one, and if I remember correctly, he had given me a white light, off to the left. Either that, or he hadn't turned it on yet. (Sorry ... that's the best technical information I can give you.) The restaurant was pretty dark, but I managed to get several shots like this, and they all turned out great! I was happy to have taken what I learned in the "studio" and make it work out in the real world. Yay! Oh ... left to right, we have water, scotch, and iced tea.

I do not know how else to reply to your touching autobiography. I thought that it might interest you to know that I have severe eye problems. It started in my 40s with recurrent iritis. This led to cataracts in both eyes. My right retina was mysteriously destroyed in a cataract operation. I was more careful with my left eye and it survived a cataract operation improved. Fortunately it was always my best eye. Now it too is threatened by diabetes. Keep producing your images and commented on mine.
