Description

This is at Lake Martin the day it snowed here last month. It was raining by the time I got to the lake but the snow was still there in most places. This shot was taken later in the day as the snow was melting fast. thanks for looking and comments. the sun was not out but low clouds hung over the land

I mean to say "wild ducks". the ducks look low in the water for some reason. I guess to keep warm. i do not know they habits so I can only guess

Nice work, Jock. So many birds! The ducks have the better deal at a time like this, because the water is warmer than the air. The mist on the lake is gorgeous.

Very somber effects in this shot of the birdies surviving the onslaught of weather, and freezing their tushes off, Jock. Well, at least you get freezing rain and snow. We get nothing here but boring sunshine and heat, day after day, week after week.
