Description
All my life I dreamed and believed that I had special powers. I imagined that somewhere deep inside of me lay a dormant source that would change the world, it would change me and those around me. It wasn't until just now that I realized that I had been using that power all along. That is the power of perseverance. For the past couple years I have endured more than most men have, and of those that have endured such things many have quit. A searing love for someone who is much more than a woman and her betrayal I faced with sincere forgiveness out of a pure source of love. Financial ruin has struck me hard and I face it with an undying emotion of so much more than hope that I do not have a name for it. Physical barriers of my own strength have been knocked down and crushed with my own perseverance. And like any super-power, it is not complete without it's antithesis. It is my love that has kept me strong, and my love that makes me weak. I have cried at the most inopportune moments out of longing for my own dear wife. I find bits of our story in every sad movie I ever watch and relive the pain every time. But that super power that I thought lay dormant stirs my very soul into action, and I will always find a way to continue moving forward through this world. My love has already changed me tremendously, and it has moved the hearts of those around me. I reach out to the world only to spread that message of love, that there is no reason on this earth to hate. Our pain only makes our pleasure stronger, and it is merely a reality of realities. I have laid my life on the line now for the country that I love because this country stretches beyond it's borders and fights to bring peace to the corners of the globe. I serve not only the people of the United States of America, but the human race. If I could find a way to do more, I would.
