Description

Conscuious that I havent uploaded anything to my gallery for a while & dubious about posting this as its a longway away from my intentions. Prutzcity Planet with Volumetric atmos, clouds & mist. Plans: Material tweaks for structures, flora & fauna additions & looking for a modeller who fancies creating a monky/toad hybrid that will be perched on the front rock (left). Lots of tweaking to be done as well even from what is shown. TFV&C Wºz™ Rendered 1920 x 1080 AA3 GD6 Fast Shadows No RT Shadows - 5 hours. Postwork (Contrast/Framing/Text) in Photoimpact.

It's good but can't wait to see how it will turn out after those tweaks you mentioned.

Have you turned on the [Vol.Shadows]in the Volumetrics-Rendering. Clouds are bliched out and look flat, kind of without the shadows. If you have a drawing for that toad creature, you can send it to me (I can find an inspiration for modeling recently, so may be working for the modeling order can cure this a bit. But I`m not making any promises....)

Thanks all for your comments to date. @ Slav+Alex - In this render I'd turned off the Vol Shadows, hence the bleaching effect & flatness that I FULLY agree with you on. I wanted to see how long the render would take without them. Since the original rendering of this image Ive done several test shots with the Vol Shadows on & also stepping up to AA4 as the terrain has some pixelated effects on edges, which becomes obvious. Ive also played with some various cloud shapes & at current really like the look of an over stretched LFS cloud (looks like strong winds - but it still needs tweaking). Im also not sure on wether to or not keep the mist layer?! Its adding a massive processing overhead to the rendertimes. I`ll sketchup a concept for the 'toakey' or 'monkoad' creature for all to see what Im looking for :) Many thanks for the offer Slav & no expectations :)
