this was from yesterday morning.we had a coat of ice on everything from the night before.after the sun had it's way most was gone by late afternoon I love seeing trees with ice when the sun is shining.makes me think of a palace of ice. thanks for viewing and any comments

That is like that everywhere here in our small town Only about 10 times worse........I am gonna try and get out tomorrow and get a few depending on how good I feel........... Love this..it's so pretty but so dangerous here.........a lot are without power some for maybe 10 days and more snow to come tonight and Mon and Tues Beautiful capture Hugs Susan~

I'm embarrassed to say that I've known of you here for a while, but there are so many artists I haven't seen and somedays I just don't know where to start next...Well, I finally turned that around, as your gallery has lots & lots of terrific images. What I like about this is that you gave us the lower portion of these trees as a base, so that the ice covered branches are like the frosting, the 'conclusion' to the whole. It's a simple concept, but it's eloquent, and the saturated blue of the sky makes it all seem intense. Very fine intuition, fine choices. Here in Chicago, we'd rarely get such a division—the whole bunch would be iced, or none of it. Nice that you caught it this way: I'd imagine it wasn't long before the ice melted & fell to the ground...
