Description

I have captured this swan at the Johannesburg Zoo. He was very eager to have his picture taken (or just wanted to be fed) and swam right up to me. I was wedged between a tree and a wooden bridge but manage to shoot off a couple of images without him pecking at my nose!!!! I love the cloud reflection in the pond! I didn't go to work today! Managed to pick up a monster of a cold sore on my lip and it has me in agony! Yikes - I hate them... At least I had a good rest and will see how the fat lip looks tomorrow!!! Take care! I get those dang things too and sometimes it feels like my face is gonna fall off--hope yours goes away soon!! This is a stunning foto--you were brave to get so close, swans are gorgeous creatures, but boy are they nasty!!

Awesome reflection! I didn't know that they would peck at you! Perfect title and super capture of this magnificent creature! (I hate cold sores too! did you know there is a prescription pill that you can get to keep them at bay?)

So gorgous Carrie! He seemed to really indeed take an affinity to you! Such gorgeous colours and lighting, with utmost pristine clarity! I think the reflection of the clouds in the water are just wonderful, and add such beauty to the entire softness and wonderful appeal to the entire image!!
