Dear Friends
Apologies for my absence. We were without Internet again this weekend... You've got to love Africa sometimes!!! I also really battled with the cold sore, but luckily it's better and busy healing now.
I captured this male lion at the Rhino and Lion Park about 45km from my house. It is a small reserve and although the animals roam freely, they do get fed rather than hunting. This guy just finished feeding - clearly visible when you look at the bulging tummy and blood stains on his face... He walked away from the pride and seeked shelter from the sun in the shade of a little tree almost just as tall as him!!!
