Description

Continuing excerpts from the diary of Toren Delgado, recording the events of what is now commonly referred to as "The Shortest War": "I'd never really enjoyed Chess that much, so perhaps that was why I was surprised by the next moves in our strange dance. We'd destroyed two of the three attacking ships, and we had two ships equipped for war to the enemie's one. So why did they launch an all-out attack, and we turn and run? The others called it a 'tactical withdrawal' and said the enemy was trying to force us on the defensive to allow them to escape. What I understood was that I'd just seen alot of people die, and now a flock of missiles wanted to add me to that list. Fine, let's run." ------------- I finally had some time to work on this series. I'm not as happy with this one as some of the previous posts, but I don't really want to try to re-do this one, again. The ships and such are all modeled and rendered in Bryce 6, while the compositing, effects, and background are all Photoshop CS 3. Thanks for taking a look and as always your comments and/or suggestions are always welcome.

Great image and prose. This is a great series of images that you have done so far. Who says that war strategy always makes sense.

this is cool looking. I read that at the Alamo; a pirite from Laffet came to fight with the people in the Alamo and Davie Corket wrote down that he learned something from this wild pirite. The pirite would be in a mist of a lot of mexicians fighting then he would run. The mexicians would think they have him on the run but then the pirite would turn around real fast and kill a lot of the mexicans. this when on many time sin the fight. The pirite was one of the last to die with Davie Cocket. He is also the one that went out to get help for the Alamo but was told by Sam Houston that no help would come. maybe that is why you running too for you will turn around real fast and kill your emeny.

Trust us! This is an excellent render. Sometimes, our own negative moods tend to color our impressions of our efforts. Since I'm posting this quite a bit of time later, I bet you will see it this time in a much more positive light. This one is every bit as good as the others.
