I have been photographing women, landscapes, and points of historical interest for the past 30 years. As an all-American guy, my favorite subjects have been all-American girls. The women I have photographed are the proverbial "girl next door." They are brides, moms, co-workers, relatives and friends. Some pictures are old, some are newer, but I hope you enjoy all the pictures of these wonderful ladies. BTW: I'll even throw in a landscape or something historical.

Oh, thanks to Rob (debbielove) whose WWI Sopwith Camel pics inspired me to dig this one out of the files.

Glad you dug it out for us. I spent a couple of years at Fort Knox, KY. There's a "male" with six pounders sitting in front of the Patton Museum. I should say there used to be...all the great collection of tanks there have been moved to a new museum building a few years ago and I haven't been back to see where everything is today.

Nice capture. I love the old tanks.

Hello Roger,I used to work with a Gentleman, who was a gunner in one of these tanks! Apart from the noise ,fumes, and that they had to wear a chain mail vail infront of there helmet,to protect from shcrapnel. He said it was a pretty scary ride.I would think the poor old boy would be dead by now?its some years since I saw him. He told so great yarns though.Alec

Did you have to peek under its armor to see that it's a "female" tank? Great capture.

Yo! A great find. And during the wars, the British and French FORGOT how to use tanks in mass AND the Germans remembered! And the rest is History!!!! A brilliant shot, my friend. I'll see if I can find 'Her' a friend! Rob.

You have to love these tanks and show some serious respect for the brave crews who manned them. Thanks for sharing this.

Know anything about the Holt G-9? LOL Nice one here!
Buffalo1
@Roland: I know that Holt orginated the "Caterpillar" tractor and their machines pulled guns and supplies on the Western Front, but I'm not familiar with that specific model. Tanks (bad pun) for the comment!
