Description
Finally had some time to mess around with H4. Didn't do too much with his body since I was covering it up in armor, but I was really impressed with how much I could morph his face to get different looks.
His head morph is made up of Thorne and Sarsa's Elfi (for the ears), maelwenn's Anais (from DAZ) and a lot of tweaking using both H4 and M4 morphs. I added on Morris' Gossamer texture (DAZ) and Arki's Fox Hair and had me a fairly interesting looking fellow. The armor is Valandar's new Lord of Battles (DAZ). It comes with D/S settings which are quite good. I did add a bit o' grey to the diffuse channel to get the armor and weapon darker.
The dragon is another of Dinoraul's creations. This one is called Dragoceros, and is over at DAZ. I cranked the bump up to 300% on his skin.
The terrain is AntFarm's DragonsNest DragonsKeep. I did grunge it up quite a bit in Photoshop, so no, it doesn't look like that out of the box.
Lighting was done with Illuminati for Daz Studio by Angela3D, available here at Rendo. Talk about a lot of lights to choose from! I lucked out and liked the results I got with the very first one I chose from the blue III section.
I ended up with three versions of this image. Two were very grungy and stylized, and this one is more posterized than anything else. I don't usually go to such extremes with my postwork, but things just worked out that way in this particular case.

Awesome rendering work!

Rending with a foggy atmosphere or perhaps a shallow depth of field would REALLY help this scene out. The super detailed textures on the skin of the monster really distracts the eye. That would also create a much-needed separation between the monster and the figure.

Amazing image. That's the best I've seen Hiro4 look to date! And the textures on the armor and the dragon are wonderful.

Now this isn't what I expected! Very neat style you ended up with, it works really well with the colors. Kind of "2.5D".
