Description
In this little picture, the lovely lady and her dragon companion are on the sidelines watching a jousting match. Hopefully, you can see from their expressions that they are enjoying the event.
This picture became an exercise in playing with materials. In particular I modified the dragon, both in relation to his morphs and in relation to the bump map for his skin texture. Hope you like the result! (Be sure to zoom on this. BTW, the orginal picture was HUGE but I had to reduce it in size to get it to be uploadable. It's still a nice size for viewing!)

Even before I read it, I said to myself, wooo look at that damn dragon, nobody does dragon work like Lori. And so clearly your work worked for me as I needed no explanation of it. Is it deliberate that the slightly metalic look of its skin is almost a perfect match for her dulled silver armour? She has excellent armour and her blazing hair really stands out... but for me the dragon steals the show. It's skin textures are unique and the posing and expression are perfect anthropomorphic analogies. Everything comes together in this picture and yet there are several elements that could themselves form a complete picture. Great work and a fantastic study in design and composition! This could easily be seen on the cover of a fantasy book.

Holy smokes, the texture and bump mat for the dragon is amazing. His head in particular is just fantastic. I feel as if I could stick my fist in there (eh...stupid move...LOL) I think her hair is a great color, but with all the separate strands it looks a bit too "busy" for me. Again, your attention to detail is really good, and I bet the original picture was super-huge. Gun aka redheadgrrl
