Description

... titled as such as it's the same place as this shot; I decided to keep the colour this time.. Well the UK has been hit heavily with snow the past day or two, and indeed there was a thin covering when I got up this morning, with hail, sun, high winds and fog throughout the day. I thought I'd head out to try and capture some of the snow but it wasn't really thick enough to explore in the limited time I had before sundown... so I headed to see what the sea was like, and the waves were ferocious in the high winds... unbelievably I came away unscathed this time in the most hostile conditions I've shot in recently.. (about 10 mins after this shot the heavens REALLY opened and winds picked up to near gale force.. time to retreat to the car!) I wanted to get some slow shutter speed action going to convey the power of the waves (which you don't really get a sense of in this one) under the setting sun, but realised my tripod head is on a mate's camera so it was hand-held all the way today with necessarily faster shutter speeds... nevertheless I think this one turned out ok.. Love this intersting angle. Almost looks like a picture is about to break half. Very clever. Love the overal blueish white tone with a touch of pink in a cloud.
