Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

And they are edible, too. Excellent shot. I have Nasturtiums, too, and they keep coming back. I enjoy the color they add to the yard, and always keep them. :o) Excellent POV.

I love nasturtiums - they're some of my favorites!

Gee, these sound like they were made for me. If a plant or flower can grow without attention from me, they have a chance to do pretty well in my yard.

I planted Halekonia in my yard and it took off without any help. And now I got much to much........ Aloha

Don't tell me you have those growing too!? I have them planted by they aren't up yet. I not only love the look of them but a few in a salad give it that little taste of pepper.

It appears that your nasturtiums have a nasty habit of overproliferation, Marilyn. Nevertheless, it is a very pretty bloom with lots of bright color to brighten your days way up north in gray land.

Cool how you made the flower glow!

I love these; I've seen places where they're growing wild over whole hillsides, and it's lovely! I'm trying to get them established here, but the birds keep eating all the seeds I plant...this year I'll try putting in starts instead of seeds! Nice shot!

nature can really be a glorious mess, can't it? Wild capture of a plant doing its thing without care for the mess it leaves behind (!), and it's probably having a great time knowing that there ain't nothin' you can do to stop it. A gloriously unruly shot, the stems not going anywhere near where they're supposed to (accdg. to all the Nasturtium etiquette books), kinda hairy & all pebbly, and like one of those houses where you feel wholly at home because no one's cleaned up the living room in ages...Love the mess, love all the textures, and someone oughta buy it a tube of moisturizer: I think it's a bit on the 'dry' side. Great little shot: Glad you didn't think, "naah, too messy": What's photography for?
