Description

This shot was taken in Madeira, so Joaninha is the Portugueese name of the lady bug ! This lovely bettle has indeed a lovely name in different languages : Marienkäfer,coccinelles, ou bêtes à bon Dieu, Sünnenküken, Lieveheersbeestje,Biedronka,… Thank you for your comments on my previous upload:

Superb light and shadow on the leaves but we cannot help but be drawn in to the image by the brilliant red of the ladybug, Wonderful shot! Oh and we call them ladybirds here in UK.
