My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

Wonderful light and color I could use some of your talent to photograph a glass blown bowl my friend just bought me... Remember my "Looking at Glass Thru Glass" series? there was a shot of a glass bowl you & I both both liked. Couple weeks ago a friend of mine bought it for me... I have photographed it in so many ways and still can't get it right

I can appreciate what you did with light, but only as an outsider, as I don't photograph much. But I can appreciate the result even more...because of your setup, the glass shines as much against the dark as it does against the lighter background, so it looks like it has a life of its own. I like the red diagonal cutting right across the vase's bottom, and the reflection is gentle and quiet. Among the styles I've seen of yours so far, this feels like one, though I couldn't explain how. It's something to do with silhouettes that shine, deep reddish backgrounds, changing & living darks, and a sense of delicate balance throughout. Beautiful. (If I'm skipping all over it's because I'm just trying to catch up after being away a bit...)
