Description

Now uploaded to Freestuff, the Poser 4 Horse remapped by me to be MilHorse MAT posable. Works best with Little_Dragon's freebie posable Mane and Tail, both of which were made specifically for this figure. Enjoy! DPH

Nice composition, but I guess that the front legs should be raised int that pose, don't they? And because the horse is sharp, the ground should be so, therefore every grass leave should be sharp too. This works well into Vue, far better than in Poser, but some people succeed with nice grass elements in Poser too. Of course it would request huge computer resources because of the incredible number of polygons involved. In Poser 7 there is a cloning possibility with the use of instances that help posing complex environments and crowds (not in older versions), but at the time of render Poser has to interpret all the instances as true polys therefore it could take a lot of time… In Vue some people as jmherve make renders that could take 24 hours! Do continue the great work m friend!

thanks so much for this David! i have no clue when i'll have time to actually try this out (i'm muddling through a clothing project), but i bought the Mill Horse thinking it would have at least as much support as the P4 Horse had for free. it doesn't even have that much for pay. i have tons of add-ons and morphs for the P4 horse, and i'm getting better and better at morphing in Blender. in response to the first comment: no, the legs should not be raised. http://www.milescitystar.com/assets/images/news/bucking.jpg first of all, that seems to be a buck, not a rear. second of all, even in a rear, you're thinking only of the apex. going up and coming down, they would not be up. i would say the twist looks awkward, especially for the back legs being so squarely positioned. as someone whose renders already take days, grass is not something i (personally) feel the need to use rendering time on. this is a perfect example of where postwork can work in conjunction with your render much more quickly and possibly efficiently than pure renders (in Poser, at least). there are, however, free grass .objs in freestuff.
