Description

Jon’s Nest Egg The future seemed bleak for many saving toward retirement. Jon was not concerned. Jon’s neighbors lost everything and moved away last week. Jon’s wife watched as the news became bleaker and bleaker by the day, fearing that they too have lost their savings, yet afraid to ask Jon, afraid to confront the reality that they will also be leaving their home. Jon whistled his way into the kitchen for breakfast, the hum of the t.v. playing in the background did not break his tune. “Jon? I really have to ask you, we have so much at stake. Is our nest egg safe?” “Beyond a shadow of a doubt honey, beyond a shadow of a doubt….” “Over easy Jon?” “You know how I like em!” The t.v. sounds seemed to disappear as Jon and honey enjoyed their eggs over easy.. Hope you get the job after all! Poignant story, too. IMO, the 401k is the biggest fraud perpetrated on the American public since....homeowner's insurance. ;-)
