Description

I've been working on this picture for the past couple days. I've discovered that tweaking the bump in the material room can led to good things and sometimes not so good things. When I first rendered this picture, the dragon ended up being a big round crystal looking leathery ball rather than the dragon I had envisioned. Live and learn. I ended up going with a blue MAT for him and no bump tweaking. :) Anyway, in this little picture I wanted to show the dragon landing on the arm of his mistress rather than having him sitting there. (And she's probably wearing something very thick under the sleeve of her outfit becasue of those claws.) :) Please view at full size. Lots to see! Hey, congratulations on being in the MP too! And the bump mapping can be a little tricky--but this came out perfect. It almost could be a magician and her assistant!

Nice piece. The colors are great! (as always) The bump on the dragon look stronger than when I render him in poser, especially his wings. I have found the bump wheel to be very sensitive, and not very intuitive. That's one reason I render in vue. I am more used to the little things in that program than poser. On the other hand, It rarely shows that texture like I want. Anyway, I'm rambling...Lol. Way too early for me to express any opinion coherently...need more coffee.

copy the image map and then paste it in material room, then atach it to the dispalcement dial. and add maybe .06 to it or smaller yiu will have to see. forget the bump i never use bump, only displacement. thats how i did the tree and the dragon. good work and great render.
