Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

It seems a feller just can't take a peaceful stroll along the beach these days without some overeager pitchure-taker comin' up and bothering me.

Your description's just right, like it's thinking, "go argue: She photographs my friends, she photographs the docks, she captures us after a storm when we look like hell, fuggeddabboudit. I'm just gonna walk past & ignore her..." Love it. Love the surrounding too. A nice backside, btw, and the beak reminds me of Saul Steinberg's bird drawings. Don't know why, it just does. If I get a URL, I'll send it...
