He had reached the end
Resolved to letting go
No bargains left to be struck
No comprimise to to be reached
The common ground had vanished
Lost in lifes' ebb and flow
Sandy grains of pure bad luck
Washed away from lonely beach
Wasted body, tortured mind
His spirit longing to be taken home
He stood there mired in the muck
While his life was slowly leeched
But something changed within him
The day She came to him
Touching his soul perfectly
His most secret places reached
The darkness lifted slowly
A curtain opened on a stage
Her hand stretching out to him
His fortress now was breeched
Day to day he lives his life
Knowing now he can not leave
Her love had saved him, renewed life
She had layed it at his feet...

Wow Seth, that is an amazing image and the poem is a total blow away. A terrific tribute to someone who obviously means the world to you. I am glad that you pulled away from the really dark images of the recent past because I have to confess that they were overwhelming in my current state. This by contrast is a beautiful dark gift with just the right touch of light.

Seth, You have an amazing gift with words, your ability to add an image to your words is a true gift. From your words, it sounds like you have found that one person in the world that takes away the pain and makes you whole again, I envy you on that. I am sorry if I write to much on my replies, but I just can't find that part of me who just says nice image or great job and leaves it at that. I look forward to your next piece of work, you do an outstanding job of hitting people in the pit of their emotions.
