Description

I've only seen two northern flickers before, one on the Gulf Coast and one in New Mexico. So, needless to say, I nearly need smelling salts when this one showed up this morning! Caught 'on the fly' and not the best, but maybe he'll come back one day. Thank you very kindly for your views and comments.

Oh wow what a find, reminds me of a woodpecker we sometimes see in the UK. amazing markings and colour. the focus and detail are second to none, I don't know how you do it Maria, bravo!
