Hi, I'm Marilyn. ĆĀ I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. ĆĀ It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. ĆĀ I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. ĆĀ Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. ĆĀ Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! ĆĀ Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. ĆĀ You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. ĆĀ Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Great view. A fine, sweeping photograph on your part. Brings back fond memories. My family and I lived a very short distance from the right (south) end of the Golden Gate Bridge at the Presidio of Monterey for two years. Our view from the dining room table was the entire San Francisco Bay and downtown San Francisco. Thanks for this posting.

Because of the general blue ambiance in this nice overhead shot, I'm tempted to sing the blues, but I'm too involved in opening all my e-bots for the moment.

it's amazing because it looks like the water is covered in snow & iceāfrom the reflections I presume. Airplane shots are always fascinating; and I've painted & drawn many topographical maps (imaginary) so this kind of shot always pulls me in. It's always nice how land, from air, coalesces into greens or blues from the atmosphere. (Though it may be the plane's tinted window, in this case.) Thanks for sharing this, it's always great to see cities from the air; and I assume, to you, this has genuine personal significance. Amazing snow-like effects...

I thought it was a snow scene! There's even a skier on the mountain!
