Description

I visited my in-law's up in Lake Placid, FL this weekend. I didn't get to boat through the canals this time but spend a little while wandering around their garden with my camera. They just had a cold spell and much of the foliage was looking the worse for wear. I took a photo of an onion that you can see in the thumbnail image. I'm not sure what drew me to it, but memory card space is cheap so I snapped a shot or two. I was looking through my photos later and stopped at this one. The photo is fairly unremarkable, but I was drawn to the blurry grass in the background. I find the abstract, squirmy shapes to be rather interesting. Like a Rorschach test, you can see things in the undulating curves. The bokeh of the blur has its own appeal as well. Thinking it might be fun to make that the focus of the image, I cropped out the onion and made a few other minor adjustments. What you see here is what was left, at full resolution. Thanks for looking!

Actually, it reminds me of an antique window that might have been installed for cheery light and yet create privacy. Well done and clever idea!

Appears as a green basket weave in my eyes and, yes, there are many ways to see it and that's what makes this a great shot.

Actually, at first I thought it was a lot like the "predator". I could see a camouflage person peering through a jungle of trees. A very unique shot. Aloha

A lovely green effect permeates this image, Kort, but, at this juncture, I believe I need new glasses.
